Ugandan opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi, widely known as Bobi Wine, has alleged that masked and armed soldiers broke into his home and violently assaulted members of his family in a shocking night raid that has intensified concerns over political repression in Uganda.

In a public statement, Bobi Wine said the soldiers arrived late at night, forced their way into his residence, and began beating his family members without explanation.

Both events are expected to attract strong participation from party officials, delegates, and supporters.

During the talks, Governor Nyong’o reaffirmed his strong commitment to ODM’s mission and activities in the region. He pledged to mobilize support and protect the party’s influence in Kisumu, which remains one of ODM’s strongest political bases.

His assurance signals a renewed push to strengthen party structures and maintain loyalty among grassroots supporters.

The engagement reflects ODM’s ongoing efforts to promote unity and coordination within its leadership.

By consulting key regional leaders, the party aims to align its strategies and present a clear vision ahead of critical internal and public events.
