Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua should brace himself for a tough legal battle ahead with Murang'a County Women Representative Betty Maina declaring that she's moving to court to sue the Democracy for Citizens Party leader for allegedly tarnishing her name.
According to the fiery lawmaker, the former Deputy President linked her to the chaos that occurred last Sunday in Othaya, Nyeri County, where Gachagua was attending a church service.
However, according to Maina, on Friday ( today), as the former DP appeared before the Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja alongside other opposition leaders, he alleged that his function was disrupted by police officers who were allegedly dispatched from Nairobi.
To the UDA MP, the inconsistencies by the former Deputy President are glaring and that they will meet in court.
The DCP party boss has always linked his church attack to politics, sometimes pointing fingers at the direction of President William Ruto and his deputy Prof Kithure Kindiki.
With Maina now moving to court, it remains to be seen who is going to blink first between her and the former DP.
