Embakasi North MP James Gakuya has described Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna as an indispensable figure in the city’s political landscape, saying city politics cannot be meaningful without his voice, even as Sifuna faces growing pressure within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).Speaking during an interview on the Vitu Kwa Ground YouTube podcast aired on Friday, January 16, 2026, Gakuya said Sifuna plays a central role in shaping political debate in the capital and commands influence that transcends party lines.
