Kabando, a long-time political commentator, argued that the removal of President Ruto from office is not a matter of “if” but “when.”
According to him, the frustrations Kenyans are facing will eventually catch up with the government.
Speaking through his official social media page, Kabando reminded Kenyans that political power is temporary.
The outspoken former lawmaker accused Ruto’s administration of turning its back on the promises made during the 2022 campaigns.
He said Kenyans had been promised affordable living, reduced taxation, and opportunities for the youth, yet many are still struggling to meet their daily needs.
Kabando further alleged that the government has been heavy-handed in dealing with dissent. He criticized the use of excessive force by police during demonstrations, saying it violates the rights of citizens.
He went on to accuse the state of targeting certain communities and political families in a way that undermines national unity.
According to Kabando, the government has resorted to tactics such as unlawful detentions, intimidation of critics, and propaganda meant to silence voices of change.
He particularly warned against criminalizing young people and using tribal alliances to maintain power.
“Leadership should not be about suppressing others. It should be about service, fairness, and protecting all citizens regardless of tribe or background,” Kabando stated.
He also accused President Ruto of surrounding himself with cartels and religious leaders who have chosen wealth and political favors over truth and integrity.
Kabando insisted that history will judge such leaders harshly, as Kenyans can no longer be deceived by temporary gains.
Despite his sharp words, Kabando encouraged Kenyans to remain hopeful and continue demanding accountability.
He urged the president to take responsibility by implementing real reforms that will improve the lives of ordinary citizens.
