Mary Deya, Widow of Controversial ‘Miracle Baby’ Preacher Gilbert Deya, Found Dead at Bondo Home

     

Mary Deya, the widow of the late controversial preacher Gilbert Deya, was reportedly found dead at her home in Bondo, Siaya County, nine months after her husband’s death. 

The cause of her passing is currently unknown, and local authorities have yet to provide official confirmation or details surrounding the circumstances.

Gilbert Deya, widely known for his miracle babies ministry, died in a road accident along the Kisumu-Bondo highway in June 2025. 

His ministry, which claimed to help infertile women conceive through prayer, was mired in controversy for years and attracted both public scrutiny and legal battles in Kenya and the United Kingdom.
