Matchweek 8 of the Premier League was nothing short of electrifying, delivering major shocks, crucial victories, and a dramatic shake-up in the standings.

At the summit, Arsenal now stand tall after edging Fulham 1-0 at the Emirates.

The narrow win, sealed by a first-half penalty, lifts the Gunners to 19 points—unbeaten and brimming with confidence.

Just behind them, Manchester City returned to winning ways, beating Everton 2-0 to claim 2nd place with 16 points.

Arguably the biggest storyline of the weekend came from Anfield, where Manchester United stunned reigning champions Liverpool 2-1 in their own backyard.

Bryan Mbeumo struck in just the 2nd minute after a brilliant assist from Amad Diallo.

Though Cody Gakpo leveled in the 78th minute, it was Harry Maguire who had the final say, heading home the winner in the 84th minute via Bruno Fernandes' pinpoint cross.

The result lifted United to 9th with 13 points and sent Liverpool sliding to 4th.

Meanwhile, Chelsea continued their revival with a commanding 3-0 win away at Nottingham Forest, climbing to 6th.

Sunderland, matching their points tally, also impressed with a composed 2-0 victory over Wolves, moving into 7th.

Brighton edged past Newcastle 2-1, while Burnley secured a vital 2-0 win over Leeds, lifting them to 17th.

Brentford capped off the matchweek with a solid 2-0 win against West Ham, courtesy of goals from Igor Thiago and Jensen.

The Bees climbed to 13th, while the Hammers dropped to a worrying 19th.

Elsewhere, a dramatic 3-3 draw between Crystal Palace and Bournemouth saw both sides remain in the top half—Palace in 8th and Bournemouth surprisingly in 4th with 15 points.
