Outspoken lawyer and politician Ndegwa Njiru has warned President William Ruto that the opposition is preparing a powerful strategy to remove him from office in 2027.

In a bold statement on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, Njiru said the opposition has learned from past mistakes and is now more determined than ever to fight with unity and precision.

“Ruto’s days in State House are numbered. We, the United opposition, are aligning our forces to unseat him with the highest degree of military precision; every move calculated, every step decisive,” Njiru declared.

The lawyer explained that the Mbeere North by-election is not just a small political contest but a clear test of discipline.

He said the decision by opposition parties to rally behind a single candidate in the by-election shows a new spirit of unity that can be repeated at the national level.

According to Njiru, unity at the grassroots is as important as agreements among top leaders.

He warned that any divisions or selfish interests within the opposition would only give Ruto an easy win.

“The opposition cannot afford to gamble this time. If we stay united, we will stop Ruto’s dominance. But if we fight among ourselves, the people of Kenya will suffer again,” Njiru noted.

His words reflect a growing mood in the opposition camp, where leaders and supporters are calling for compromise and joint strategy ahead of 2027.

For many, the by-election in Embu is seen as a rehearsal for the big political showdown to come.

Njiru further reminded opposition leaders that history has shown how internal rivalries can destroy momentum.

He urged them to focus on the bigger picture rather than personal ambitions.

Observers believe the Mbeere North race has now gained symbolic importance.

It is no longer just about who wins the parliamentary seat but about whether the opposition can stay disciplined enough to carry the same strategy to the presidential race.
