Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who was speaking on December 3, 2025 alleged Letoo didn't give the right report, claiming church members were attacked by goons backed by police.
According to Rigathi, the area OCS allegedly lobbed a teargas canister inside the church.
Letoo countered, saying he made the right report, and stood by his story.
"I stand with my Kariobangi North report on Sunday," he said on Facebook.
Gachagua said, "Goons came with police, attacked us in church, and were driven away by Christians. The OCS threw teargas in church, then Letoo claimed police were fighting gangs, which is not true."
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen said police were separating gangs fighting near the church.
Stephen Letoo maintained his report was accurate, amidst calls for media professionalism from Gachagua.
