Taking to his X handle, Tony Gachoka without mincing words has told Edwin Sifuna to exit the ODM Party stating that the attack by Gachagua in Nyeri was meant to control the narrative and kill his church attendance in Nairobi alongside the likes of James Orengo.
"Sifuna, obviously, the state has today desended on Rigathi Gachagua in Nyeri to steal the lime light from your function.
It is just easier that you announce, James Orengo is your Presidential Candidate & pull out of ODM.
Stop giving Ruto space to kill your momentum. Good luck," Tony Gachoka wrote on X.
That aside, speaking after the incident, the Democracy for Citizens' Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua claimed that what happened in Nyeri was a botched assassination.
