Ruto hosted about 12,000 aspirants interested in the UDA Party tickets and when he took to the podium to address them he used the opportunity to mock former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Ruto began by praising his current Deputy Kithure Kindiki. He said that Kindiki is up to the task and understands his job well.
He went ahead to mock Rigathi Gachagua by comparing him to Kithure Kindiki. Ruto mockingly questioned whether Gachagua has the ability to understand the way Kindiki does.
"Mimi nimefurahi sana ya kwamba leo niko na Principal assistant ambaye anaelewa kazi yake. Mimi niwaulize kama ingekuwa ule jamaa mwingine? Niwaulize angekuwa na akili ya kuelewa mambo vile huyu jamaa anaelewa? Professor Kindiki ni Faya si Faya bwana" Ruto said.
The President said that he now has a Principal assistant who understand how Government issued such as Road development, Energy, Universal Health Coverage and Education.
Ruto appeared to be mocking that his former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua used not understand his role well compared to Kindiki;
