The ODM County Chairpersons’ Caucus convened in Nairobi under the leadership of Hon. Fernandes Barasa to deliberate on key party matters and the roadmap towards 2027.
The caucus backed the National Executive Committee’s decision to remove Senator Edwin Sifuna from the position of Secretary General over alleged misconduct.
Members endorsed Hon. Catherine Omanyo to serve as the acting Secretary General, citing the need for discipline and stability within the party ranks.
The leaders also declared full support for Senator Dr. Oburu Oginga as party leader, expressing confidence in his ability to guide ODM through the 2027 preparations and potential coalition negotiations, including possible engagement with UDA.
They emphasized structured dialogue and strategic planning ahead of the next General Election.
Further, the caucus resolved to promote unity within the party while honoring the legacy of the late Raila Odinga.
They confirmed that only bona fide delegates will attend the March 27 National Delegates Convention and called for expedited implementation of the 10-Point Agenda and the NADCO report.
